All Hanover work was monitored and evaluated as it was delivered. Qualitative and quantitative data was collected through a combination of questionnaires (designed by a Great Ormond Street psychologist), Yellis Baseline Data, indicators such as GCSE and other exam results. |
“Hanover’s pilot programme placed peer mentoring within an FE college context on a more professional level. More than that, the evidence of short to medium-term outcomes indicates the Hanover Level 2/3 Awards in Mentoring are well-designed to develop key communication skills and well aligned to the functional skills agenda. The programme does not focus on communication skills in isolation. Rather, it delivers a mentoring qualification having its own value and utility and which at the same time places communication skills at the heart of personal development, allowing those skills to develop the individual more holistically“ Dr Jean Ellis (Quote from external evaluation of pilot Hanover Level 2 Programme, undertaken by Charities Evaluation Service) ECS (LB Barking and Dagenham) Objective: participants to formulate & develop strategies leading to improved attendance, motivation and preparation for their upcoming exams and life choices. Top Line Outcomes: 93% of participants achieved an A*- C in Maths |
